Erika’s journey began in the Bronx, where she was born to Jamaican immigrant parents. Growing up in New York City, she was immersed in the vibrant culture that would later shape her career. Her roots instilled in her a strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to build lasting relationships – qualities that have driven her success.
Erika started her career in advertising, learning the importance of emotionally connecting consumers with brands and forging authentic relationships between them. She then joined PepsiCo, where she developed a solid business and analytical foundation, managing brands across the company’s beverage portfolio.
Ten years ago, Erika took a bold leap, leaving behind her metro card to join Beats by Dre as one of its first 25 employees. Under her leadership, the company transformed into a global icon. As the head of Partnerships and Energy marketing, Erika created innovative partnerships with influential brands like Fendi, Balmain, and Disney. She also produced iconic cultural moments at Fashion Week, NBA ALL-STAR, Coachella, and ULTRA Music Festival, collaborating with A-list celebrities like Dr. Dre, Kylie Jenner, and LeBron James.
After Beats, Erika returned to her startup roots, joining beauty startup Starface as their first Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she oversaw all marketing, PR, insights, creative, product, and partnerships efforts.
In 2024, Erika joined Meta’s fast-growing Wearables group as Director of Integrated Marketing, where she leads the brand’s efforts to connect with culture through sports, music, and fashion. She is also responsible for many of the company’s exciting upcoming product launches. This role represents the culmination of over two decades of experience building brands that shape our world.
Throughout her 20-year career, Erika has established herself as a cultural driver and connector, delivering strategic and meaningful brand stories. Her expertise spans multiple categories and brands, consistently yielding results.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys traveling, savoring good food, and discovering contemporary fine art. She resides in LA with her husband Hunter and their children Lennox and Goldie.
