Arlan Hamilton

Author, Venture Catalyst and Founder of Backstage Capital

Arlan Hamilton is the Founder and Managing Partner of Backstage Capital, a venture capital firm dedicated to minimizing funding disparities in tech by investing in high-potential founders who are people of color, women, and/or LGBT. Started from scratch in 2015, Backstage has now raised $20 million and invested in nearly 200 startup companies led by underestimated founders. Arlan has been featured on the cover of Fast Company magazine as the first Black woman non-celebrity to do so, and is the author of “It’s About Damn Time” and host of the popular weekly podcast “Your First Million”. Arlan and her mother, Mrs. Earline Butler-Sims, announced their scholarship program which kicked-off with scholarships for Black students at Oxford University and HBCU Dillard University.

Stacy Taffet

VP, Brand Marketing

Stacy Taffet is currently Vice President, Brand Marketing for Frito-Lay at PepsiCo. In this capacity, Stacy runs the largest brands in the snack portfolio including Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Ruffles and Fritos. Stacy has been with PepsiCo for 13 years and has held a variety of brand management, innovation, and channel roles across the company.
Prior to PepsiCo, Stacy spent 4 years at American Express in several different marketing roles. She graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Stacy has been recognized by the Advertising & Marketing industry with several awards including being named to AdAge’s 2019 Women to Watch class and Campaign US’s 40 Over 40 2020.
Stacy has been actively involved in the community throughout her career as a volunteer, board member, committee member, and pro bono consultant for various non-profit organizations. She lives with her husband and two children in Chappaqua, NY.

Blake Gray, 20, came into the scene in 2015 and has remained ever present inthe public eye and zeitgeist by being one of the forefront creators on TikTok. Creating videos with him and his friends, Gray was able to capture the hearts and minds of the world by showcasing his sense of humor, dance moves, and overall great personality. Gray has his eyes set on acting and is continuously partnering with large-scale brands such as Alo, Pacsun, MLB, Revolve and Prada on his highly engaged social platforms. Gray has since gone from the screen to the surreal, becoming a fixture at every Fashion Week globally in Paris, Milan, New York sitting front row at shows including Coach, Prabal Gurung, Dolce & Gabanna, Valentino, Balmain, Isabel Marant and Ralph Lauren.

Emily Zugay is a 24 year old Tik Tok Creator who focuses on Satirical content, ranging from how to make ice cubes to logo redesigns for large corporations.

Ryan Harwood


Ryan Harwood is the CEO of Gallery Media Group, a media holding company focused on building media brands that truly matter to the end consumer through distinct editorial missions, voice, and aesthetic. Their mission is to 'Make Positivity Louder.' Gallery Media Group includes women’s lifestyle brand PureWow (Harwood has been the CEO/Founder of PureWow since 2010), a youth culture brand, ONE37pm, a podcast arm featuring Mom Brain, The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel, Card Talk, and a large scale social media portfolio across Instagram and TikTok.

Under Harwood’s leadership, PureWow grew to become a leading digital publisher for women. Having raised significantly less venture capital than his peers, he was able to build a highly profitable company in a crowded women’s media space. He built a special culture grounded in kindness, empathy, and passion with an unprecedented employee retention rate from 2014-2018. Harwood steered the ship through a highly successful acquisition by Gary Vaynerchuk in 2017.


Digital Creator

Tinx, aka Christina Najjar, is the breakthrough star behind the @itsmeTinx accounts. Christina, a LA based Stanford grad and former brand strategist is now better known as TikTok’s big sister. In less than a year, Christina has amassed over one million followers on her social media platforms including her quintessential product reviews, Rich Mom and other characters, with her dear friend and fan favorite, Mini Mic in hand at every step. Tinx has worked with a wide range of brands including Lancome, Chipotle, SKIMS, BMW Mini Cooper and theRealReal. She has big plans for 2021 but not as big as the extra dirty martini she notoriously mixes.

Kim Farrell

Head of Marketing, LATAM

Kim Farrell is the marketing director for TikTok in Latin America, managing a diverse team across 4 markets. She has over 10 years of experience in consumer marketing having worked most of her career at Google in both the US and São Paulo, Brazil leading exciting campaigns for major events like the World Cup and Olympics and many campaigns related to Google's brand reputation, social media and social impact efforts. She followed that with a short stint at where she led integrated marketing for Latin America based in New York City. A Boston native, she graduated with honors from Harvard University in 2011 with a degree in Latin American Studies and Government. She is a passionate advocate for women's empowerment and diversity and inclusion; she is not-so-secretly addicted to reality TV.
